    I've been having this issue for a couple months now, keep trying to run games like sea of thieves and it will not open. Every time I try to launch it, it just spams the same notification saying "out of video memory". This issue is making everything unplayable and I desperately need assistance with fixing it.

    Why does my PC crash games and sometimes itself?

    Some weeks ago I rebuilt my PC. Since then my PC crashes when I try to play some heavier games (ex.: Cyberpunk, Far Cry 5, Witcher 3; all on best settings).
    The crashes occur about 5-10 minutes into the gameplay. Other games, that are not that heavy (Frost Punk) don´t crash.

    I searched a bit and found some problems that I think are related to the CPU or RAM.
    "Live Kearnel Event Code: 124"
    I tried some diagnostic tools for the CPU and RAM, but no errors were detected.

    I have screenshots of the windows reliability history and a screenshot of the event log (they are in german...).

    In the reliability history

    My specs:

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900K 3.20 GHz

    RAM: 64,0 GB (2 x 32GB, XMP1 6000, XMP2 5600 --> current setting)

    GPU: RTX 4080

    Mainboard: Z790 Aorus Elite AX

    I will try to turn off XMP entirely and to update the BIOs. Maybe this will help.
