Windows 10: I have an old Asus laptop but I forgot my password

My father found my Asus laptop an x407 he told me that he wanted to use it but asks me for the password even though I haven't used that since the end of my elem online classes 2021. So I tried the method where you hold shift and select restart which takes you to the troubleshoot settings, I tried to find the reset PC option but there is nothing. Pls tell me on how to do this when the reset option is not here.

And how exactly are you locked out, are you saying he forgot his user name password login or the bios password?
