I Have Been Having Frequent BSoD's the Past Week or Two

Starting about a week ago, I got a BSoD and decided to do a checkup on all my computer parts. I found that my CPU was overheating and I fixed it quickly. I assumed there would be no more BSoD, but now whenever I do a high intensity task, like playing Rocket League, I get one. I've looked at the minidumps with BlueScreenViewer and I can't seem to glean anything from it, so I was wondering if someone here could help me solve this problem. Any help is appreciated.

  2. Frequent DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD's in the past week

    Answer-by-number:

    1. Have the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSODs stopped?

    2. Did you hide the "bad driver update" such that Windows Update won't install it again? See

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930

    3. Have you ever run the McAfe Consumer Products Removal Tool?

    4. Is KB3105514 listed in Installed Updates (not
    Update History
    ) now?

    5. Is Firefox version 41.0.2 (or higher) and/or Google Chrome version 46.0.2490.80 (or higher) installed?

  3. I have been having BSOD frequently

    Hi James

Can you try the suggestion in step 2.

The games should still run with those items disabled and will allow you to check for a BSOD again.

    Thanks

Frequent DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD's in the past week

Hi all. I've had this computer 3 months now (Lenovo Y50-70). It came with 8.1 on it, but I immediately upgraded to 10. No real problems, until this week. I've had three BSOD's, two when waking the computer from sleep, and one "randomly". All were 0x0133,
    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.

I haven't installed any new software in that time period, and there didn't seem to be any major windows updates. I'm attaching the minidump logs, as well as a perfmon report.

(For reference, I'm fairly computer savvy, but don't know anything about dealing with BSOD's).

    Many thanks!
