Change windows 10 chinese to english on laptop bought in china

I just bought a laptop in china. comes with windows 10 in Chinese. I have seen post about how to change for Chinese to English. I called the Microsoft service assistance and they ask me to pay 295 euros to get a new version! they did not offer to provide
new KEY as previously said in a post. they have been extremely clear : I need to pay this sum to get the English version! this is a true racket! did you have o pay this amount? thks

I bought a laptop in China, but the only display language option is Chinese; it won't let me change it to English. The OEM description says CoreCountrySpecific, is this related? Is there any way I can change the language?

Yes, Same problem here. No real process for updating the Chinese Windows 10 version to another language at boot up of new install for new Dell laptop purchased in China. The option is there, it just doesn't work. I was going to purchase from HK but that
meant flying there from Shanghai. I thought, surely there will be a process to download a new language file. I can select English but it refuses to connect to wifi. My next step is to pay for another copy in English and install it from USB.
