Windows 10: I have code 45 on my wifi driver, don’t know why?

I turned my laptop on to find wifi wasn’t working at all, looking in to it on network adapters the wifi ones weren’t there until I showed hidden ones. It says code 45 next to it. Have tried to update all 3 wifi options that come up under network adapters but hasn’t helped. Done a network reset, also never helped. How do I fix this? How do I know if its the wifi card in the laptop or if its a driver issue? Anything I google is confusing or doesn’t quite match!

My WiFi driver has disappeared and is now giving me an error code 45 in device manager. I’ve tried installing updated drivers, resetting network, and all the other tips out there to fix this issue. Nothing is repairing this issue. Please help.

Corrupt system files are a prime reason behind the code 45 error. You can detect and replace these corrupt files by running an SFC scan. You can run an SFC scan by following the below instructions: open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands one by one:

sfc /scannow

DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Allow the commands to complete their scans and repairs, then restart your computer and check if the WiFi driver reappears.

The error code you've received is only used to provide the status of the device. To isolate your concern, we suggest that you roll back to the older driver and check if it helps to resolve the issue. To do this, please follow the steps listed below:

• Press Windows Key + X then select Device Manager from the list.
• Locate your graphics driver and double-click to open the Properties
  option.
• Go to the Driver tab and click the Roll Back Driver button. Click
  OK.
