I have Core i5 8th Gen, since it is updated to windows 11 it take ages to bootup like hours and sometimes it just doesn't bootup at all. What can you suggest here.

The new 8th Gen Intel Core i9, i7 and i5 processors for laptops are based on the Coffee Lake platform and leverage the 14nm++ process technology enabling them to deliver up to 41 percent more frames per second in gameplay or edit 4K video up to 59 percent faster than the previous generation with same discrete graphics.

At the top of the stack, the 8th Gen Intel Core i9-8950HK processor is optimized to push the limits of performance. It is the first mobile Intel processor with six cores and 12 threads. It comes fully unlocked and features the new Intel Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB), which opportunistically and automatically increases clock frequency up to 200 MHz if the processor temperature is low enough and turbo power budget is available. This translates to a turbo frequency of up to 4.8 GHz.

Intel 8th Gen Support on Upcoming Windows 11 v24H2 Release

Hello Microsoft Community,

I contacted Microsoft Support a few minutes ago regarding concerns about Intel 8th Gen Support on the next major update to Windows 11 (v24H2) and they told me to put up a post on the Microsoft Community Website about this.

I have a Dell OptiPlex 3060 with an Intel Core i5-8500

And a laptop with an Intel Core i5-8265U or Intel Core i5-8365U?

I’m hoping Microsoft Developers will be able to keep me up to date on what’s happening with Intel 8th Gen CPU Support because I can’t afford to buy new computers since I haven’t owned my desktop and my laptop for very long. Thank you.
