    Hi Support,I had cut a folder in Windows 11 from my desktop and tried to paste it into another folder but my folder is gone and all the data which is important is also gone. I have tried Windows file recovery, Easeus data recovery and Stellar data recovery but not able to find the directory i have done all the things please suggest me

    windows 10 cut and paste photos from folders

    Hi,

    If you are referring to the option "cut and paste photos" in photo gallery.

    There is no option to cut and paste photos to folders using photo gallery or photo app.

    But you can right click on the photo, copy the photo and paste it on other folder. once you done, you can delete the photo from the photo gallery.

    If you want to cut and paste photos from one folder to another, follow the steps below.

    - Right click on the photo and select 'cut'.

    - Go to the location were you want to paste, right click and select paste.

    Cut and Paste Problem

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    • Are you trying to cut and paste a folder from an external device?
    • Do you have any other User accounts on the computer? Did you check the files in other User accounts if any?
    • Was there any interruption during the cut and paste process?
    • If the cut and paste process was interrupted, did you receive any error code or error message?

    I suggest you to check the missing files in the Recycle Bin and try recovering the files. You can also try manually searching the files by entering the file name in the search bar.

    Please refer this article and run the diagnostic tool to troubleshoot on the issue.
