I have deleted that HORRIBLE and malfunctioning One Drive but my files keep going to One Drive and I do NOT want that. I even installed a new app in Microsoft Store a picture converter and it sent the result to One Drive! How do I stop One Drive from FOREVER accessing my files or apps?When One Drive accesses my files it deletes them from my computer and I DEFINITELY do NOT want that to happen.When new files are created or existing ones modified, this TERRIBLE app automatically puts them in One DriveHow can this be happening when I have deleted One Drive from the computer in Control Panel

May we know what type of file are you trying to delete? Would it be Office documents, media files, or picture files? If you're trying to delete files for free some space on your device. We suggest to perform a Disc Cleanup. Kindly follow the steps below to

File Explorer Malfunctioning and Deleting New Files

I have been having an issue with File Explorer malfunctioning and occasionally deleting files. Here's what happens: When I click on the File Explorer icon in my task bar, the status bar looks like it's progressing at a snail's pace and never really completes.
I usually have to reboot the computer. On at least two occasions recently, a couple of files have simply disappeared. They are not in my recycle bin, and they don't show up in a file search. They are always files that have been updated earlier that same day.
My Windows 10 OS is up to date, and the computer gets scanned regularly for malware and viruses.

Any suggestions as to what may be going on? Thanks.

 

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.
