I have desktop quickbooks 2018 and transferred to new computer with windows 11. Upon opening QB the computer locks up and I have to use task manager to end QB.

Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2012 will not install with a new Windows 10 Computer

Hello Laurie,

QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2012 is not supported in Windows 10. Only Quickbooks 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 are supported. You'll need to purchase the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop Pro.

New Windows Build Breaks QuickBooks Enterprise 11

This does not work. I tried this first. Loaded with every compatibility possibility that was available. There is another issue that is causing the failure. MS has made a change that is breaking Quickbooks Enterprise 11 in the new update as I first stated
above.

I would like to inform you that Quickbook Pro 2011 is not compatible with Windows 10. Therefore it is needed to install in compatibility mode.

Hence,I suggest you to reinstall the Quickbooks pro 2011 in the compatibility mode and check if it helps,

Please follow the steps below for more information:

• Right click on the setup file of the application and select
  Properties.
• Select Compatibility Tab.
• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the
  operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
• Click OK and run the setup.
