I have a new laptop and trying to install Microsoft 365 subscription. I have downloaded Microsoft 365 but now can't find it in my Apps. When I open a document, it says it cannot open because there is no app associated and to install an association in the Default App Settings page. But when I go to the Default App page, it says it can't find the Microsoft 365 app.

Microsoft 365 not available after download

I am using the most recent version of Windows 10 on my desktop. I am completely confused. *Sad I downloaded Microsoft 365 on my desktop and it is appearing in Apps when I go to Settings but does not appear when I click Start. I also have Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 installed. Office 2010 appears when I click Microsoft Office on the App list in the Start menu. Do I have to uninstall Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 to be able to use 365? I don't really want to lose it completely in case I don't like working with 365 and decide not to renew. Hope this all makes a little sense! Thanks for any help with this. - - - Updated - - - I have solved the problem of Microsoft 365 not appearing on the start menu. I restarted my computer and now see the individual apps in the list. They may have been there all along since I was looking for them to be in a "folder" entitled Microsoft 365. *Confused

 

Microsoft To Do is now integrated with Microsoft 365 suite of apps

I think Microsoft To Do is still rolling out in Microsoft 365, so not everyone may have it yet.

downloading apps

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I would like to understand the issue better, could you let me know

1. Operating system and edition of operating system you are using?
   
2. From where you are trying to download apps?
   

However you can try following steps to if you are using Microsoft store to download apps.

Step 1 :

1. Open RUN box by pressing
   windows + R button on the keyboard.
   
2. Then type WSReset.exe and click on
   OK.
   
3. Try to logging in to store with your Microsoft account.
   
4. Try downloading the apps.
   

Step 2:

1. Search for command prompt on
   Cortana search bar.
   
2. Right click on command prompt and click on
   run as administrator.
   
3. Type below command and press enter.
   
   Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
   

The above command will take some time and I would suggest you to wait until the process completes.

To know the edition of operating system,

1. Right click on This PC and click on
   Properties.
