Dear all,I have enabled the Group Policy "Turn off the Store application", but I can still download apps from Windows Store. I have also modified the setting in registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore:RemoveWindowsStore" to one. Still no effect.I have detached my PC from my work domain and workgroup. But the setting still doesn't take effect. Any help?

    :)

Windows store via domain group policy

I created a computer policy for a few windows 10 laptops and enabled "Turn off access to the Store" which is located under Computer Config>System>Internet Communication Management>Internet Communication settings. I also enabled "Turn off the Store application"
which is located under Computer config>Windows Components>Store. We have a group called "Windows 10 Laptops" that is configured to receive this policy under Security Filtering. I've added these windows 10 laptops to this group. I also enabled group policy
loopback processing mode and set it the "Merge' mode.

When I log onto any of these windows 10 laptops with a regular domain test account (with local admin rights). I can still access the windows store. Can anyone let me know if there is something I am missing?

    GROUP POLICIES IN WINDOWS 10

You can change Group Policies by opening Group Policy Editor first. You can open it by following these steps:

    • Log in an administrator account. If you are already logged in as an administrator, proceed to step 2.
    • Press Windows + R to open Run.
    • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.

After opening Group Policy Editor, you can now make the necessary changes that you want.

Should you have more concerns, feel free to post.

    Regards.
