    I have had four issue arise since the automatic update Microsoft did last last week.


    1. Shut off my microphone: Went on line and found others with similar problems, apparently you went in, reinstalled games we did not want, shut off our app microphones. I turned on the microphone, and then turned it off for particular apps. I have yet to test it.


    2. I have an app called "Discord," of which I apparently have two. One, is stuck in the upper right corner, the top bar out of reach (minimize, close, move, etc.), and the other, unable to uninstall

    3. My screen is now black, and I receive this warning, which is new, from which I have made now changes since the update: reader_sl.exe - Bad Image C: WINDOWS/SYSTEM 32 SDVCP120.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again, using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status Oxc000012f.

    This is from Twitter, or pops up whilst surfing normal sites. I do not visit cagey sits.

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

    A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    windows automatic updates

    i have some questions about the windows automatic updates in windows xp pro w sp/2. ive got about forty updates they recommend , mostly for security but i only installed two today. after installing them i found them in my add/remove programs in the control panel, if i add all these updates that is a lot of space on my hd almost 1 gig. i thought that updates just updated files and not created new programs. should i innore all these update suggestions from microsoft?
