Windows 10: I have installed the cumulative update 2023-06 for Windows 10 21H2, but update 2023-05...

I have just installed several updates after not using my pc for a while, and while the 2023-06 update has been applied, the 2023-05 update keeps failing. How can I fix this and do I need to?

Usual fix for that is an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data like any 'upgrade' procedure.

I seem to recall that was suggested in your previous thread.

Tutorial available, and I've posted a 4 step short-form procedure many many times.

Were you to search tenforums for 0x800f0831 you might find e.g.

 

Update failure for 2023-05 Cumulative

The 2023-05 cumulative update wont update it keeps failing. I have tried to open windows update troubleshooter and it says unexpected error occurred. Can someone please help me with this.

Hi,

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (21H2) is using in my company.

All monthly update failure to install. Windows 10 will undo for those updates.

• 2023-04 Cumulative update for Windows Version 21H2 for x64 based Systems (KB5025221)
  
• 2023-03 Cumulative update for Windows Version 21H2 for x64 based Systems
  
• 2023-02 Cumulative update for Windows Version 21H2 for x64 based Systems
  

May I know any reason ?
