  1. I have just run the Microsof recovery and it has removed all my Apps

I ran the Recovery reset after my PC was having some registry problems. I did all the right things and retained all my files. I was given a small list of applications that would not be kept and none of them was of any consequence so I went ahead. The recovery has removed ALL my applications. I don't have any of my MS Office Apps. My files have remained but I have no means of accessing them. Can you send me a foolproof way please Microsoft to get these back. Windows 10 was already on the laptop when I purchased from a supplier 2 years ago, but I should not have to go through the inconvenience and delay and probable cost of getting that restored.

I have looked at the Community answers and most are dated and do not give me a ready answer for correcting this.

I look forward to a speedy reply - I need this laptop to run my business

    :)

    Getting rid of Microsof Apps

During the last update Microsof Apps got installed on my phone. I want to get rid of that **bleep**, but there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to remove it...

    Any suggestions?

I have just run the Microsof recovery and it has removed all my Apps

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. *Smile

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
