Windows 10: I have lag in game but I have good internet and a good pc.

I have in multiple games lag. This is a bit strange because I have good Internet and I have a good pc.

The speed of my internet is 250Mbs and this are the conponents that are in my pc:

CPU: I5 8400

RAM: 8gb 2666mhz

GPU: gtx 1050 2gb

and the game is installed on a hdd, but I have got the possibility to transfer the game to an SSD.

I know is not the best pc ever, but lots of pages say that these conponents are good enough.


I dont why the games have lag gta v and rainbow six siege, so can anyone help me please.

New PC build lagging in every game, with good internet.

I recently had Geek Squad upgrade my PC with a new Motherboard, CPU, Ram. (x570 gaming edge wifi, ryzen 7 3800x, 16gb ram, 1TB SSD, GTX 1060 6gb) All drivers are up to date and fresh windows install.
My computer stays connected to the internet fine. I am using an ethernet connection.

The internet speeds are at 550-600 mbps download, and 17-18 mbps upload. Every other device in my home works fine on this internet connection.

The problems come in online multiplayer games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Apex, etc. I can play just fine for a few moments or couple minutes, then a few moments or couple minutes of lagging, and this cycle
repeats. Some games have dedicated symbols for when its a connection issue which appears for me. When I play games offline, I have no problem or any issues.

I played these same games before the upgrade, the connection was stable and I could play without this issue.

Have been trying to fix this for a month now, would love any help! Thanks!

Game Lagging

Sometimes when I play Patrick's Tartar Tantrum in Internet Explorer 11 and listening to music in Opera Browser at the same time, This game is lagging. How do I decide whether to improve performance when this game is lagging?
