Windows 10: I have lost access to the administrator account and cannot reset the password

Hello,I have a problem with administrator access on my computer in Windows 10 system. I use a regular account on a daily basis. When I try to perform any action that requires administrator privileges for example, install some program, I get a box saying "Do you want to allow this application to make changes to your device?", But the only button that can be clicked is "no".That would not be a problem yet, as I have been looking for help on your site before and I know it can be dealt with. The real challenge is that I cannot log into the administrator account because I do not know the password

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.
