    I have micophone issues ever since I updated to version 1809


    I decided that one day I was going to update to windows 10 latest version 1809. (I was previously on version 1803) After a few days of using the new update. I was quite happy. The Audio was working perfectly as it should be. I can listen and watch videos and such without having any headphone issues. However, I decided to do a quick microphone test, by using audacity and playing back the track. All I get is a deep bass. I did a recording and what you hear in this video is coming from my microphone. I am not speaking at this time (The audio may be loud, so watch out): https://youtu.be/lwKYngcRyLE



    My headphones work fine, not the microphone. I can confirm that I am having microphone issues due to the windows 10 1809 update. It's not the microphone itself that causing the issue. If the only solution was to roll back a previous version of Windows 10, I don't think I am able to do so via the settings option because it says: "This option is no longer available because your PC was updated more than 10 days ago".


    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Edge browser stopped working after upgrading to Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809)

    Enabling the TCP/IPv6 on the adapter card fixed the issue for me. I did not have it enabled because my IP service provider does not use IPv6 and I had it disabled and Edge worked in that config until I updated to Windows 10 version 1809 in October. Spent several hours trying different suggestions that did not help. This fix took me 20 seconds to implement and get Edge connected to the internet.

    WMP for version 1809...


    My Windows 10 N, version 1803 had used Windows Media Player via installing it from the "Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1803.msu" file.

    Updating to 1809 removed the WMP and no longer available in the apps list:

    There's an updated version listed at:

    But clicking on the link and looking for the 1809 in the drop down list of versions does not show the media feature pack available for download for 1809; instead it shows version 1709 and 1803.

    Does anyone have a direct link to WMP for Windows 10 N, version 1809?
