Windows 10: I have no admin rights lost my bitlocker code

So one day my laptop account got hacked and deleted it somehow there was bitlocker so can someone help me my laptop is hp

Hello,

I purchased in JUNE hp laptop with Windows 10 on it. I never used bitlocker and it is a personnal laptop so no organization (school, work) is involved.

One day my only account lost its admin rights. It is now a guest account.

When I tried to reboot in safe mode A bitlocker recovery key was asked.

I logged on my microsoft account: on my device it says that bitlocker in on but I don't have the key. It says that an administrator must have it. But it is a personnal computer so I don't get it. (It was new when I bought it).

I called the support and they told me to reinstall windows which I tried but it is not possible because of the bitlocker recovery key.

So to sum up : I no longer have admin right and my C drive is blocked by bitlocker.

I still have access to my file but I can't fix my problem..

Can you please help me ?

May I know how you lost admin rights? do you forget the admin account password?

Turning ON/OFF BitLocker needs Admin rights, however, if you have the recovery key you can turn it off with your guest account:

Otherwise, there is no Microsoft native tool or utility to bypass the BitLocker key.

Since you still have access to your files, the only and best option is to backup your data and perform a clean installation:
