  1. I have no audio after November 2020 Windows updates

New Windows updates were installed on my PC on November 1st, after the computer restart, there was no audio.

Doing a Realtek HDA driver was not an option, it was grayed out, I right clicked Realtek HDA driver to uninstall it, restarted the computer, now I longer have the Realtek driver in my in my Device Manger.

I right clicked on the speaker icon located on the bottom of my screen, did the troubleshoot, it resulted reading " I couldn’t find your audio device. Make sure it’s connected and try again".

How do I get my Realtek HDA driver back in the Device Manager?

I have done a System Restore, I used the only date it gave me November 1, 2020, the date my updates were installed. It had no effect for correcting the audio. I have used the System Restore in the past several years ago which always corrected the issue, but this option no longer works in the last two years.

Losing my audio has been an ongoing issue for the past seven years on my PC after certain Windows updates and each time the issue was resolved. It seems what fix was used on any one last sound issue will never work on next audio issue several months later?

    I am using a HP Pavillion 500-090

  2. No Audio after November 1, 2020 Updates

I was referring to sceenshots that I copied & pasted onto MS Word.

In the control panel under sound/playback, it reads; No audio Devices installed, but yet under Uninstall Programs, it shows that it's installed.

I have had this same No Audio issue for the past 7 years on this same PC, at least once a year after certain windows update. I always wrote down the fix each time, but for some reason, that same fix would never work next time the No Audio issue occurs. Years
ago, I was able to go into System Restore Set Point

, this would fix it for the first few times this issue arises, but now unable go farther back than the day the updates were installed. I did use the System Restore Point which only showed November 1, 2020 which was when these updates were installed, still
    no audio.

I'll keep trying your suggestions to attempt to get my audio driver back again.

  3. No Audio after November 1, 2020 Updates

HP Pavillion 500 PC, using Windows 10

No audio after November, 2020 updates:

There were 53 updates installed for MS Office Professional Plus 2007 and 2 security updates. After these updates, there was no audio, audio was fine just prior to the updates.

Sorry for the background shading, I couldn’t get rid of it.

Expand Sound, video and game controllers> Right click your Audio driver

Click Update driver. select Search automatically for updated driver software

or Right click then Properties > Driver Tab > Roll back driver if not disabled

If it doesn't work, Click Uninstall device. Delete the driver software for this device check box, and then select Uninstall. Restart your PC.

Not able to rollback audio driver.

I uninstalled the audio driver, restarted The PC, there was no effect/audio.

Is it possible to insert screenshots with my replies, it would definitely help to show the results after each possible fix attempts?

  4. I have no audio after November 2020 Windows updates

    Windows 10 November Update

This update is completely bad. This update made the text very small and audio and video (configuration panel) drivers are not working. Microsoft made a step forward when Windows 10 was released, but 4 steps back when November Update was released. I hope
Redstone update will solve the issue!!!
