I have no video on Zoom on my Dell desktop I checked devices setting and my camera video is turned on. How do I troubleshoot camera video?

Video is not working on Zoom

Everything was working fine but today the option to start video on Zoom has disappeared. I checked if the video is working in other programs and it is OK. I found out that the camera is not listed in the Device Manager under Imaging Devices. It is an HP
Laptop

 

NO VIDEO ON ZOOM

I'm sorry to hear that. Don't worry we will try other troubleshooting steps to resolve your concern.

1. Update your camera driver to the latest version

- Click the Start Menu and search for Device Manager

- Click Imaging devices/Camera to expand it

- Right-click the camera driver

- Click Update driver software

- Select Search automatically for updated driver software

- If it says your using the updated driver, close the window and right-click the camera driver again

-Select uninstall (don't delete)

- Restart the computer

- After updating the driver, restart your computer

Check if the issue is fixed, if not continue to the next step

2. Unblock Zoom from the Windows 10 camera privacy settings

- Go to Settings

- Click on Privacy

- Then Camera

- Make sure that the "Camera access for this device" option is turned ON

- Turn ON "Allow Apps to access your camera"

- Then scroll down and turn on "Allow desktop apps to access your camera" (Zoom should appear under it)

Before your meeting using zoom it will ask to download or using web instead. I strongly suggest to download the zoom app to avoid restriction.

Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Webinars, Screen Sharing

Make sure your video camera is already updated in drivers. much better you can provide screenshot the specs of your video camera.
