    Microsoft Tech Team Fraud

    If the OS installed on your PC is an OEM version, the OEM is responsible for support, not Microsoft. Any support you would get from Microsoft would have to be paid for. That's why the tech was trying to get you to pay for the service.

    Tech Support Issues

    I have a paid subscription for Tech Support. Today's experience is categorized as extremely frustrating, waste of time, total disregard of CS & satisfaction, totally unacceptable, unprofessional and inexcusable, to name a few.

    The attempts to utilize the online assistant is a waste. Phoning in to yet another ROBO, is even less satisfactory. Questions asked, limited answers to provide them, detail given re support plan etc. NO option given if currently have support plan, no
    option to make a request, after taking the time to attempt obtaining live assistance, the call is disconnected. That is, unless you wish to pay several hundred $$ for a one time service. I failed to experience the urge to jump on that choice.

    Some of my experience today is likely stupidity on my part by thinking I would at least have an opportunity for live support, & continuing to hold and be shuttled from one "on hold" to another & another, ............ Some was believing Microsoft would
    provide the required Tech Support, making every attempt on my part of optimism and maintaining far more patience than exists within me. I was "disconnected" several times, had the enjoyment of repeating the above steps with increased frustration. This went
    on for 2.75 hours!! Ludicrous! I missed a project deadline, developed an excruciating headache, during all of this, I RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY NO HELP!!! My issue remains unresolved.

    IF we cannot obtain Tech Support, even with a paid subscription, is there a need to have one? Why has the CS deteriorated? Has the $$ been made to the extent we, as customers, are not as needed & appreciated?

    I possess an extensive & versatile executive background and am therefore more than qualified to review the training, qualifications, enforcement of the role duties, & professional demeanor acceptable.
