    Forgot the password on my protected document

    If your password can be cracked then protecting the document was a pretty useless exercise. If you can crack it then so can anyone else!

    You did not say what protection tool you used. This is essential. If it was MS Word then you could find the solution with a Google query like this one:

    find password for Word 2010 file

    password protection of documents

    Windows 11 HOME is installed along with Windows 365 subscription. On rare occasions, I want an extra layer of security and have password protected such Word or PDF documents prior to updating to Windows 11. The password protection still works on pre-Windows 11 documents when I update them (I have to save manually rather than auto save on these documents but that is not a big deal) but I cannot create any new password protected documents. Thank you for offering to help me.

    Unfortunately Password protected Word Documents are not supported at the moment. Please make a feature request on the following page:
