I have pop up virus. I ran Microsoft safety scanner and during the scan it indicated 32 infected files but then the report at end said no viruses. Also ran Microsoft Malicious Sofware scanner and System Mechanic antivirus and nothing.

Microsoft safety scanner finds no virus?

Microsoft Scanner works in steps.

So at first stage it will detect what may be an infected file and it will add that to a list. This is the number you see when you see the scanner progressing. These are not actual infections, just suspicious files.

Once the scan is done the safety scanner will match the suspected files with the most recent database of threats and then tell you the actual infections on your system. If the last number is 0 it means no actual infection was found.

 

So I ran a full scan using Microsoft safety scanner and it found VirTool:Win32/DefenderTampering

The only Anti-virus software I have installed is Windows Defender, and Malwarebytes. I have run full scans with both of them, and it said it found nothing. After running both these scans, I ran Microsoft safety scanner again, and it's saying it found 2 infected files why it was scanning, but when it was done it said it found nothing. This is what's making me think it's a bug in Microsoft safety scanner. What do you think? Should I just leave it be?

It said it was removed, but when I ran the scan again the next day, it said it found the same virus.

Each time I run the scan, it says that the virus was removed. But when I run it again a few hours latter, it saying it found the same virus. I have run the scan at least 3 or 4 times, and each time it's the same. Is this a bug or not?
