    HDD not detecting in Windows 11 laptop but showing in bios

    Hello

    Recently I was doing some work on my laptop and when I opened my laptop the next day my 1TB HDD stopped getting detected in 'This PC'. It also does not show up in device manager, only my SSD shows up there. There is no weird noise coming from the laptop nor has the laptop been dropped. Additionally, the HDD is visible in the bios. Any assistance would be great!

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
    causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:


    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.
