I have set my 'Fast Boot' to disabled in my BIOS, but when i try to launch a loader on my PC it is telling me that Fast Boot is still enabled? any solution?Also, on the power and sleep menu i do not have the 'fast boot' option to untick?

I have this problem too but my pc was stuck on msi logo EFI Bios fast boot enable no graphics glitch on my pc.

disable windows fast boot I have a 128gb sdd i'am thinking with ssd you don't need windows fast when you have fast boot in bios.

ps computer works when fast boot in efi bios is disable.

 

How do I remove the Linux Boot Loader?

You don't actually uninstall a boot loader but replace it with another.

You cannot get Ubuntu to start on a Windows' boot loader, it needs to be GRUB (or an open source equivalent).

Any ways, to get the Windows' boot loader back up, you need to insert your WIN7 installer disk and select the repair option>startup repair. I am assuming the WIN7 will use a similar setup menu as VISTA.

After that, just format the partition/disk that ubuntu is on...

 

Disable secure boot when field is greyed out in bios

I want to disable secure boot so I can try to boot the laptop from a usb instead.

I found this, which was not helpful due to the field being greyed out in the bios and not adjustable.

In order to disable the secure boot option please follow the options as given below.

1. Open the PC BIOS menu. You can often access this menu by pressing a key during the boot up sequence, such as F1, F2, F12, or Esc.
   

Or, from Windows, hold the Shift key while selecting Restart. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options: UEFI Firmware Settings.

1. Find the Secure Boot setting, and if possible, set it to Disabled. This option is usually in either the Security tab, the Boot tab, or the Authentication tab.
   
2. Save changes and exit. The PC reboots.
   

Note: IF you make any incorrect changes in BIOS, this may lead to serious problem on your computer so before making any changes to the BIOS, I would suggest you to contact the Computer Manufacturers.
