Windows 10: I have some problems after a formatting in my pc please help!

I can't find disk d in my computer after a formatting. I have tried all the solutions everyone gave on the internet but i still can't find it, I want to recover some files from it but when i download recovery programs disk d doesn't even show up in the drivers list. My pc was windows 7 before and it's windows 10 now. I also want to try recovering files from disk c but i already downloaded some stuff on my computer after the formatting, would that be a problem?When i tried scanning with a recovery program it showed me 160 gb of files but all the files showing up in the program were stuff i had

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

i suggest getting a friend to help you backup whats on your hard drive and formatting it, that way you can isolate the problem instead of 'i think the hard drive works' situation.
