Windows 10: I have some queries in Microsoft windows auto update settings

Hi Experts, We wanted to disable completely Windows auto update and their related options. We have disabled windows auto update settings via registry. Thats working as expected. We found there were another 2 settings which is related to windows update. One is "Get updates for the Microsoft products" and another one is "Set Automatic update options" I have uploaded the screenshot as well. Could you please let me know what those options are meant, what they will do and also please let me know how to check whether those 2 options have been disabled.I am looking forward to hearing from you.Than

The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
The article lists them all. No big deal.

I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

A quick workaround:

You can disable driver updates and only driver updates via the following registry key (it's protected, so you'll have to take ownership).

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UpdateHandlers\Driver\LocalOnly

Set that to 1. No more auto driver updates. Combine this with a disabled auto update via gpedit.msc -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components ->Windows Update -> Configure Automatic Updates (set this to disabled) and you get a little more control over what you update, and when.
