Windows 10: I have the error 0x80004005 on my laptop after a recent update. Please advise

I have a 2yo laptop and has w11 installed. After an update last weekend, an error that windows is not activated appeared and unable to reactivate it due to the key being unauthentic. Laptop came in with preinstalled windows. Tried resetting thrice, doing basic ts over the web with netsvc stop etc, updating catroot, and even getting the default product key from the product ID via cmd isn't working. Please help
