  1. I have the install disk but windows 11 does not support. I had no issues with windows 7 or 10.

I recently bought a new pc with windows 11 on it. I was hesitant to purchase a new pc because I have an invoice program that is from windows XP, Vista and 7 compatible. When I upgraded my old pc from Windows 7 to 10 I had no issues and I was told by several people when I looked at purchasing a new pc with windows 11 that as long as I have the installation disk there will be no issues. I inserted the disk into the drive and no auto run or install but I was able to get it installed. I have emailed the manufacturer of the software but they said that it should work as well and mentioned to contact

    :)

  2. Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

    Windows 7 installation issue

Hello, I'm having some issues installing Windows 7 RC1. I have a 750 gig HDD I split up for two OS's; Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 RC1. The XP partition is 500 gigs, and the Windows 7 partition is 250 gigs. When I try to launch the installation of Windows 7 from the menu where you select the disk partition, I get the following message:

"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See Setup log file for more information."

I've never had issues installing Windows as bad as this. What does Windows 7 need? I mean, I gave it a 250 gb partition, properly format it from the Windows 7 menu, and select it for installation, but the punishing message keeps comming up. XP recognises the partition that the Windows 7 installation disk created as an NTFS. And, I don't see where is this Setup log file!

    Any help appreciated.

    Issue with Windows 7 installing

On the second step of installing Windows 7 it just locks up and won't continue with installation. I talked to my friend in town (Urbklr on Techpowerup) and he believes it's my chipset. I can't get a hold of him to find out how I could update my bios and such.

  10. Does Windows 10 have a recovery solution like Windows 7 had?

in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance
Does Windows 10 have a recovery solution like Windows 7 had?: I've never liked relying on a recovery partition so under Windows 7 I'd make recovery disks then, when the hard drive failed, I'd install a new (blank) hard drive, boot from the recovery disks, and restore the PC to 'factory condition'. It appears that Windows 10's...
