Windows 10: I have this weird grey filter like effect flash that only pops up when I open the settings...

So i already tried a lot of things including clean reinstalling windows and my nvidia drivers. Also got in contact with both microsoft and nvidia support for this. Nothing helped yet. I installed windows 11 a couple of days ago, it was an upgrade from windows 10. My system is qualified for windows 11 so no problems there. I noticed that when using the microsoft graphics driver for my rtx 2060 it doesnt have this bug anymore. I tried 4 different versions of the nvidia driver going all the way back to 2020 but nothing changed did a clean nvidia wipe before reinstalling each time. I tried a lot

Colors looking grey in Windows 10

I understand that the colors look grey on your computer. I would suggest you to check the color filters in Settings and see if that helps. Kindly, refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + U, to open
   Ease of Access Settings.
   
2. Now, select Color filters from the left pane.
   
3. Under Use color filters, toggle the switch to
   off for Turn on color filters.
   
4. Clear the check box for Allow the shortcut key to toggle filter on or off.

Desktop screen dimming like a pop-up without a pop-up?

My windows 11 computer been having a glitch where after updating, the desktop screen will dim grey like a windows pop-up but there is never any pop-up. When restarting the computer, the computer will get to the login screen normally but when loading in the screen will dim grey again. I think it's a pop-up not loading in because the computer mouse icon is NOT greyed out.

This happened twice now. The first time this happened was after a previous windows update where this problem occurred. I couldn't figure out what happened and about a couple of weeks later, the dimming stopped. Now that I recently updating my computer again, the problem came back. I have screen shared my desktop with others and they do not see the dimming effect. I have screen captured my desktop and the dimming effect was not seen from other devices in the images.

This is NOT a monitor/brightness issue as I adjusted the settings and the greying still happens. Plus, when the computer is starting up the screen colors are normal until it is suddenly greyed out later on. The mouse icon is the only thing on the screen that is not greyed/dimmed, I have no idea what could be causing this. My computer doesn't even have the sleep setting on. Any suggestions??

As initial troubleshooting steps I suggest you to install the latest windows 10 updates, please follow the steps to install all the windows updates.

If you want to check for the update now, select the Start button, then select
Settings > Update & security >
Windows Update > Check for updates.

We suggest you to try changing the visual effect setting. To Change your Visual Effects Settings in Advanced System Settings refer the below steps,

  Select System and Security
  
• 
  Click on System
  
• 
  And select System protection
  
• 
  Select Advanced tab and click on
  Settings
  
• 
  Now select the option Let Windows choose what’s best for my computer
