Windows 10: I have to restart pc for the headphone jack to work

Hi

I run Logitech speakers from the head phones jack, after a windows update I have to restart my pc for them to work, I have tried everything I know but it still happens, can anyone help?

I did Step 1 and restarted my PC after the update and the headphone jack still won't work.

I tried to do Step 2 but when I reach the Playback tab it only shows an icon for speakers. There is no icon for headphones at all to select as default.
