Windows 10: I have two keyboard layouts that seem to change on their own all the time

I have two keyboard layouts on my system - ENG-US and ENG-DV - that I can switch between with [WINDOWS]+[SPACE]:However, multiple times every day/hour, the keyboard just changes on its own even though I didn't press [WINDOWS]+[SPACE].IMPACT: I may start writing in gibberish example: "G mat ;kaok ,ogkglu gl ugnndog;j" or, worse, I may use a keyboard shortcut that is intended to do one thing but if the layout unexpectedly changed may result in doing something entirely different. For a user like me who is extremely keyboard-heavy who uses many different keyboard combinations in many different a

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)
