Windows 10: I have volume licence service with win7/8.1pro and enterprisesrises

My keys for volume licensing is not working on win10pro in these days can I activate these keys for win 10 kindly guide me

I suggest you to start the Volume shadow copy service and check. Follow these steps:

a. Click Start and type services.msc in the search box.

b. Search for the Volume shadow copy service and make sure the start- up type is automatic.

i. Right click on the service

ii. If the service is stopped, then Start the service

iii. Select Properties

iv. And in the Start-up type select Automatic.

c. Click Ok.

Volume Licence Vs Retail Licence

I want to know how volume licence differ from you other retail licenses and why it is overpriced other than retail license. And i need to know the detailed peculiarities of volume licence over retail license

 

Volume licencing key

According to my countries MS representative for small and medium-sized enterprises we should be able to upgrade Win7 Pro computers activated with a Volume Licencing MAK key to Win10. I am performing a clean install on every computer and not an upgrade as
it usually causes less trouble and the OS tends to perform better, which is specially noticeable on less powerful computers.

As some of the computers were activated through a VL key, you can't actually retrieve it via "gatherosstate.exe" or any other 3rd party tool. So I tried imputing the VL key during the install, but the Win10 installer says it's invalid.

I also tried doing an upgrade, but since the computers are connected to a domain the upgrade won't let me continue. Since I'm not even sure if it would work, I don't really want to go through the hassle of reverting back to Win7 in case of failure.

Since the information I got from a hopefully reliable source (MS) and my experiences contradict each other I'm repeating my question here:

Is it possible to go from a VL activated Win7 PRO to Win10 PRO without buying a new licence?
