I have win11 build 22635.3209 ver 23H2 Enterprise installed. error shows ver 22H2, 23H2 unable to install.

How to get Windows 11 23H2?

MS really messed up that release imo but I'm not ganna talk about the misleading annoucments about the release dates here,

Here's my story, one of my laptops that got win11 Home edition allowed me to download it via WinUpdate and despite showing it got 23H2 installed it only got few of its features, Meanwhile my other machine didn't had the update on WinUpdates but got all of 23H2 features, same story with my main PC, I've just reinstalled the 23H2v2 (the name that was in MS ISO) there and my windows telling me I've still got 22H2 yet got all of the 23H2 features,

(As a side note all of my users are local users so I'm not log in to any of the MS stuff such as store... I assume that caused the apps to not update to their 23H2 ver)

So wth is going on then? : o

1. One PC had it in the updates, got only few of features (mostly lacking it for the apps), and shows in system it got 23H2 installed,
   
2. Other PC never got it in the Winupdate screen, but have all of the features include the apps,
   
3. My main PC which just got win11 reinstalled by using the very (very!) recent ISO ver of MS for 23H2 (v2) claims it have 22H2 installed as well but got all of the features too (Notepad started with the 22H2 but was updated to the 23H2 ver a bit after despite the user being an offline local user too...)
   
4. With ver 22H2 it was easy to update and know what I've got installed but 23H2 is so messy...

Hi. Im baffled. I went back to a full os disk backup (its a full one the whole disk not just a regular backup) and when i write winver i get this (check images) and windows update tells me something else, i know i was on 23H2 but now when going back to this backup even though it backed up when i was on 23H2 it says 22H2, its obvious also when you look at the timestamp when updates where made, i have 22h2 current date updates and 23h2 update that is in the past, so i should be on 23h2 not 22h2 makes no sense.

My lenovo came with win11 21h2 and has been trying to install 22h2 for months. I finally went through the 15 step process (exaggeration) to fix it and finally 22h2 installed correctly.

Filled to the brim with hope, I tried the 23h2 install. Not only did it fail, it regressed my back to 21h2.

So I am officially dropping support of Microsoft. If they can't something simple like an update to work dependably, I don't expect the next release to be any better.
