I have Windows 10 version 22H2 with Norton 360 and Utilities installed. I need to install Java 8 to run software. Are there any problems that I should look out for?

Belarc installation not allowed by Norton 360

Had Belarc before on my win 10 64 pro, then had to replace my motherboard. Attempting to re-install it but Norton 360 says it contains malware, and prevents it from installing. Tried from several different sites, get the same warning. C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)\
MALWARE \MBAMSERVICE. EXE.

Any suggestions?

 

It is wiser to remove Norton 360 and TuneUp Utilities before upgrading to Windows 10 from 8.1?

Hello all, just an update on my Windows 10 upgrade.

I uninstalled Norton 360 and TuneUp Utilities and let Windows update itself to 10. It took a long while, but this time it successfully installed! This proves that either Norton or TuneUp must have been the cause of my previous problems, and by the sound
of it, the problem lay with Norton going by all the comments above.

Funnily enough, once it did finally upgrade to Windows 10, a message popped up from Norton (even though I had uninstalled it!) saying that my version of Norton 360 is not compatible with Windows 10 and I would have to download an updated version! Why didn't
they tell me that as I attempted the upgrade in the first place and save me all this wasted time?

Anyway, I re-downloaded Norton 360 and everything seems to be working fine so far! If it wasn't for the fact that my mum had just paid another year's subscription to Norton, I doubt I would have re-installed Norton.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
