When we created Xbox Game Pass, we did so with the vision of bringing you more great games to discover and play with your friends. Xbox Game Pass and EA Play - Unlinking

Hello,

I'm having trouble unlinking my Xbox gamertag to an EA play account that I don't own or have access to. I am a Game Pass subscriber and have been trying to download a game from EA play. When the game begins download, it wants me to sign in to my EA account and needs verification. The verification email and phone numbers are not mine.

I have an EA account but it is not linked to my Xbox gamertag. I'm just needing the EA account unlinked from my gamertag so I can sign in with the correct one.

I've read through the forums a bit and see many people have had trouble unlinking EA accounts. Is that still an issue? Is there a way around this? I don't see how there is a security concern to unlink two accounts. If I am the account owner of my Xbox gamertag, I should be able to sign in to whichever EA game account I choose.
