Windows 10: I installed a new ssd into my pc and since then any game has crashed my PC.

I installed a new Samsung SSD 990 pro. When I did the installation I used Samsung magician and everything seemed fine, I was running Ableton live no problem. I tried launching a game through steam and it seemed ok, the game was running for a minute or so until my PC just crashed and booted up right away again. So i tried a different game also on steam, same thing. Then i tried to uninstall the games on steam and tried again, nothing new. So i tried a game outside of steam, again nothing new. Now i don't know what to do anymore. The SSD doesn't seem to hot or anything like that. Im running th

pc crashes while gaming (due to ssd?)

hello everyone,
my problem: my pc randomly freezes (usually while gaming) and then restarts itself. my idea would be that it has to do with my ssd. usually when i use cc cleaner and trim my ssd my pc doesnt crash. however, my ssd doesnt trim auotmatically and when checking if it wants optimalization, it sometimes want to be optimalized every few minutes. do you have any suggestions on how to fix this, or any other suggestion that could fix my crashing problem?

of course, it could be something else causing the crashes. however, after a crash my ssd always needs optimalization, most likely even before the crash but i cant check that 24/7.

already tried a soft windows redownload (saved settings and documents)

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

PC Crashing on every game

OK what i am gonna do - i will take second pc from my friend... Will build all my sistem on his MB... And then if it crashes... - will step by step take out my parts and put his - untill i have no crash any more... Damn it sounds stupid and will take like all day :S... Any other ideas how to make effective testing if i have second PC?

Or maybe give it away to disruption? *Big Grin
