    I installed a old SSD with windows 10 to my new MSI katana 15 laptop when I tried to boot...


    I Recently brought new MSI katana 15 laptop and installed my old SSD with windows 10 in it. When tried to boot with my old SSD it shows error message as Inaccessible Boot device. When tried using windows repair mode using USB flash drive with windows installation media and tried using Command bcdedit. It doesn't shows up SSD . So I am unable to copy boot files from it.

    New windows 10 installtion on New SSD - wont boot unless old SSD present

    It seems you installed Windows while the both SSDs were connected. This would have caused your current problem. Maybe it is sufficient to do this:

    1. Launch the Disk Manager.
    2. Right-click drive C:, then mark it as "active".
    3. Shut down Windows
    4. Open the BIOS and tell it that the new SSD is the primary boot device.
    5. Disconnect the old SSD.
    6. Boot up normally.

    If this does not work then you might have to do this:

    1. Disconnect the old SSD.
    2. Re-install Windows on the new SSD, using the Media Creation Tool.

    Can’t install windows on my new SSD, “No Signed drivers were found”

    Just bought a new MSI Katana 15 B12, I purchased a Samsung 2TB 980 Pro along side it. I can’t seem to install Windows 10 or Windows 11 on the new SSD. When I go to select a drive it says “No Signed drivers were found”

    I’ve searched for hours and done countless formats and different solutions. None seem to work.

    New Windows 10 Installation on new SSD made old Windows 10 on Old SSD Unbootable

    I can do this for the new and successful Windows 10 OS SSD installation that has successfully booted after I have reformatted the incorrectly installed new OS on the new SSD. I don't think I know how to do this for the old SSD Windows OS on the old SSD because it simply can't even boot up. (At least for now it still won't boot).

    The new SSD with the new OS has been handed to my brother. I'll have to ask him to send me the screenshot based on the command window that you want to be entered.
