    I installed an ad blocker on Opera.


    First: I am techno ignorant. I am also desperate. I made the mistake of installing an ad blocker on Opera, but now more and more Youtube videos want me to disable or remove it. Problem is, I can't find it anywhere. I tried all apps from the start menu with no luck. Thought I would see the name of it in my downloads folder, so I would at least know what to look for, but no luck there either. I really hope someone can help. Many thanks.

    Actually, Qwant and Lukol both are showing these Ad links in the first search link results. And there's no settings that turn off these ads. DuckDuckGo is the only one of them, which turns them off. But only if you go to the settings and turn off Ads. By default you'll see Ad links, which is what the original poster was complaining about. Turning off Google Personalized Ads doesn't make a difference at all. I've made this experiment last 1 year. Neither will the Ad links go away nor the advertisement pop-ups in certain sites. Google claim that turning the setting off will simply display more relevant ads. Built in tracking protection in Edge Chromium, Waterfox and Opera GX block the ads and tracking, but not the Ad links in search engine results.
