Windows 10: I installed the 9/13 Update and now my audio devices are not detected

After installing the latest Windows 11 update, my computer no longer has audio. When I open Audio Settings, no audio devices are found this includes my laptop's speakers and my USB headset. When I click "Add a Device," nothing happens.I tried updating, uninstalling/reinstalling, and disabling/enabling all of my audio devices and drivers in device manager. This did not solve the issue. In this process, I also discovered that Windows Update remains stuck at 0% for all updates. Some of my drivers had optional updates that I tried to install, but Windows Update seems broken. I tried running the

I've tried every step that was suggested, still getting no audio output device installed.

 

Modem on HD Audio device not installed....

I just bought a Toshiba Equiem P200D 139 lappy which came with Vista. Having spent a couple of days with it its obvious that Vista is a bit too much for it (or maybe it was the pre-installed bloat...), so I've installed XP Pro on it. So far so good, its much more responsive now, and I've found most of the drivers for it (a bit of a chore since Toshiba don't list any XP drivers!!).

Device Manager only shows one remaining triangle, beside Modem on HD Audio device, and I just can't find a driver for it! Tried right clicking and update driver, which worked for a few devices, but this one obstinately refuses to work. Any ideas?*Bang Head :banghead:

 

No audio devices detected


So, after upgrading to Windows 10, my computer no longer detects any audio devices.

Device manager only detects nvidia hd audio
Playback devices only detects nvidia hd audio

After installing realtek drivers, realtek is nowhere to be found - no icon in system tray, no realtek device in device manager etc.

USB headphones work fine, just dont have any support for rear panel audio jacks, have disconnected front panel audi connector, installed fress win10 copy, still nothing
