On a new laptop I installed the Microsoft office student & personal bundle using different account. Now I want to change the ownership to mine. When I tried to use Word it refused to be used since it's not on my account. How do I change the ownership of the package to my account?

Office 365 for students

Its possible you need to download the software install files from the schools website if you purchased it through the school.

• Please uninstall any Office trial versions on your device before installing Office 365 Education.
• Open the Microsoft Office 365 Web site.
• On the Office in education screen, enter your IT Account NetID, followed by <university email
  address> and click Get Started.
• Select I'm a student on the next page. You will be sent an email with instructions.
• Follow the steps in the email. It is recommended that you use the same password as you use for other
  University services.

 

My Office Home & Student 2016 with my Word has disappeared.

When you initially installed Office Home and Student, that would have become associated with your Microsoft Account

Log into this page:
https://account.microsoft.com/services/

On that page, you should see your Office Home and Student licence listed and from there, you can re-install Office . . .
