  2. How to change font BACK to default (Segoe UI)?

I've seen lots of tutorials and stuff about changing the default font from Segoe UI to something else (e.g. Calibri) on Windows 10. However, I want to know how I can change the font back to Segoe UI, because my font glitched out and it has the square placeholder
characters in it. Is it done the same way as changing it off of Segoe UI, and if so, what font did it default to?

this is what my search bar looks like, I hope you can determine what font it is based off of that

Fonts That Have All Sans Serif Letters Except for the Uppercase Version of "i".

    Three questions:

    1) In Win 7 and 8.1, the names of files and folders were in the Segoe UI font. The advantage of this font is that all letters except the uppercase version of "i" are sans serif. Because the uppercase version of "i" is serif, it is distinct from the lowercase
version of "L". On my new XPS27 All-in-One desktop running Win 10, the uppercase version of "i" is sans serif and therefore easily mistaken for a lowercase version of "L". Why does the Segoe UI font not have the serif uppercase version of "i" in Win 10?

    2) I notice that when used in Win 10, Verdana and MS Reference Sans Serif have the desired features that are observed for Segoe UI in Win 7 and 8.1. Are there any other fonts that have these features?

    3) Is there a way to change the default font for names of files and folders in Win 10 from Segoe UI to Verdana or MS Reference San Serif?

Is there a way to change the default font for names of files and folders on Win 10 to MS Reference Sans Serif Regular?

Original title: Sans serif font with serif version of uppercase letter "i" for names of files and folders.

In Win 7, names of files and folders were in the Segoe UI font. Advantage of this font is that all letters except the uppercase version of "i" are sans serif. Because the uppercase version of "i" is serif, it is distinct from the lowercase version of "L".
On my new XPS27 All-in-One desktop running Win 10, the uppercase version of "i" is sans serif and therefore easily mistaken for a lowercase version of "L". Why has this happened?

I notice that the font "MS Reference Sans Serif Regular" has the desired features observed for Segoe UI in Win 7. I have MS Reference Sans Serif Regular on my new PC. Is there a way to change the default font for names of files and folders on Win 10 to MS
    Reference Sans Serif Regular?
