I have tried all of the HDMI outs on the computer and all the HDMI inputs on the tv, getting the same outcome. This is the second computer I've tried with the same results. The first was an open box and returned. This one I have now is brand new. It has Windows 11 home on it. The tv doesn't have a displayport connection. I don't know much about cables and connection requirements, but have a headache from reading information on the internet. Can it be that the tv just can't process the signal from the computer or am I way off base here. Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

  2. ASUS laptop and LG monitor are not connecting

I have an ASUS TUF laptop. I have an LG monitor model 34WL500. The monitor connect with my Macbook without issue. However when I first connected the ASUS it worked find but then Microsoft did an update and now I can't connect or detect my external monitor at all. I've tried the drivers, 3 different HDMI cables that I know work and nothing. Did this latest update screw me over?

  3. The resolution is off and display is off when connected to LG TV Windows 10

    Hi Frank,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing currently.

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

    • What is the make and model of the laptop?
    • How exactly is your laptop connected to LG TV?
    • Is it through HDMI cable?
Firstly I would suggest you to update the display drivers and then try to set up multiple monitors.

Follow the below steps to update the Graphics card drivers and check if it helps:

    • Click on 'Start' and type 'Device Manager' in the start search box and press enter.
    • Click on the “Display adapters” to expand the list.
    • Right-click on drivers and update it.
    • If there are no update available, then go ahead and reinstall the driver by clicking on 'Uninstall'.
    • Restart the PC
I also suggest you to refer to the link for more information:

Connect LG TV to Asus laptop wirelessly

    Hi all,

I have a LG smart TV which I have always successfully connected my Asus laptop to share screen. However this connection suddenly stopped and I am no longer able to share my laptop screen to the TV.

My laptop is still able to detect the TV under Connect to a wireless display but when click connect, it shows "Connecting... Follow any instructions on your device" but there aren't any instructions on my TV except showing that my laptop is trying to connect to the TV. After a few seconds, my laptop just shows "Couldn't connect".

I am puzzled why this suddenly happened, probably after an update (i cannot remember the exact date it happened).

I have tried connecting other devices to my TV and they worked, so I'm quite sure my laptop is the culprit. Tech-idiot here so would appreciate if there are simple troubleshooting methods I can follow.

Any ways I can reconnect my laptop and TV wirelessly again without the need to use a HDMI cable?

    Thank you all!
