Windows 10: i just got a new pc and windows search bar work just fine now it say file is missing

i cant access settings, windows search bar and mircrosft store it says file dose not have an app associated with it for performing this action settings not working even tho its settings i need help plz thank you

I did what you suggested and the indexing seems to be working fine. I can find a newly created file in file explorer, but still nothing in the search bar. I reinstalled Cortana but it didn't help.

I created a new user account and the search bar works properly there.

 

search does not work in task bar. DOES work in File Explorer

Task bar search does not work and I have tried all of the recommended steps. Had to recently reinstall Windows 10 64b (preserved personal data) and the search has not worked since.

Suggestions? Recommendations?

Windows 10 Search Bar Not Working November 2021

Hello. Had a new version of Windows placed on my PC after a major hardware change. Windows 10 Pro - Version 21H1 - Build 19043.1348.

Problem is the search bar by the start button does not work so I am unable to search at all, no text can be written in the box, and if I try a black box appears then disappears just as quickly. Originally Cortana didn't work either, bizarrely saying "English" isn’t supported in the region although that seems now to work.

I have tried every single suggestion online bar the registry change suggestion re stopping the link between BING and the search bar but I refuse to tinker with the registry or reinstall as this is a brand new installation of Windows done in November 2021 and the product should work.

One thing I would say is whilst researching this issue "SearchUI.exe" seems to come up in conversation a lot but that doesn't appear at all in my list of services. The closest I have is "search app.exe" which appears as suspended and disabled.

Can someone please advise., I notice this isn't a rare issue and surely Microsoft should have fixed this by n ow?
