I just got a new ssd and when I turn on the PC with the usb with the windows 11 installation it shows me "Recovery, Your PC/Device needs to be repaired...". Sometimes if i try to open bios it gives me a black screen, but when it works it shows me that my ssd is under raid controller. How can i fix this and install windows 11 on my new ssd.

    :)

On installed Windows 11, the Blue Screen of Death will not go away

I am not tech-savvy but I manage to follow directions after decades of using computers; therefore, I installed a couple of months ago, fast and effortlessly, Windows 11 in my "approved" 2019 laptop. Everything was working fine until I got the first ever blue screen (which also happens in Windows 10). The culprit: "ddflt.sys failure." Following reliable tech suggestions, I performed several possible fixes--too many to mention which included installing all Windows Updates, pending or suggested. The problem got worse so I performed the MS suggested System Restore (the day of the updates). At that point, the new blue screen reappeared with a new message: "STOP CODE: CRITICAL PROCESS DIED."

The new blue screen now provided many possible fixes and I tried them all. But at this point, the laptop was inoperable except to try to work something out with the Blue Screen suggestions.

HP did an extensive check but could not find the problem. And now most of the proposed fixes cannot be performed either. I followed every solution to the T but in the end, nothing worked since the laptop itself does not work (no screen or browsers, etc). When turned on, I get a permanent blue screen, that's all.

    About laptop: 476GB SSD / 371 GB free; 8GB RAM --16GB Optane

STATUS: With every effort to work with the blue screen, it now runs the initial check and returns to the repair suggestions by itself. But nothing works anymore. As most everyone would say, I have important documents stored but I have no idea how to proceed. And taking it to a big repair center ruined a new laptop a couple of years ago. Further, I cannot transfer data from one laptop to another since the blue screen unit is inoperable.

Should I then find a technician who would remove the SSD drive to transfer it to my working laptop (no idea yet if this 1GB HD laptop will accept the SSD drive) or to purchase a new laptop with SSD drive with the capacity for an additional 500GB SSD? And the 8GB RAM plus the 16GB Optane? I think the latter might be the best solution. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
