Windows 10: I just got this computer like 3 weeks ago and i turned it on today for it to have...

Everytime i power down my laptop it deletes everything i got this computer 3 weeks ago and beside the battery being awful its been fine and now everytime i log in it acts like a new laptop saying "preparing windows" which in my experience happens when logging into a new computer or laptop. And after i do everything is reset to when i first got it and i lose everything. Last night you gave me an update and i updated it and now nothing works right thanks alot. 3 weeks and its already broken

IE11 got abysmally slow about 3 weeks ago

IE 11 has been working quite finely in Windows 10. About 3 weeks ago or so, it got abysmally slow.

My suspicion is a Windows 10 update clash.

How can I fix IE 11? The uninstall and reinstall does no good.

Any suggestions?

Windows Spotlight- pressed "like" instead of "dont like"

• Do you wants to change the lock screen picture?
• Are you making these changes in the Microsoft account?

I suggest you install any pending Windows updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

You can turn off the Windows Spotlight feature and then turning it back on and check



Step 1: Right-click on the desktop and then click Personalize to open Personalization category of Settings.



Step 2: Click Lock screen



Step 3: Under Background section, select Picture or slideshow option from the drop-down box.



Step 4: Press windows key + Lock.



Step 5: login back again and follow the same steps from 1 to 3 and change back to Windows spotlight and check if it helps.

How do you Disable Explorer's "Today", "Yesterday", and "Last Week" Groups

I like my Downloads displayed as a straight alphabetical list, and not broken down by today, yesterday, and last week. When I go to Downloads this can be done by clicking "view" then "group by" and then "none." Windows, however, does not save that setting
and the next time you go to Downloads you are forced to go through those steps again. How can this be avoided? Until recently this was not a problem.
