    I just had a $129 debit taken from my bank account


    The amount of $129 has just been debit from my commonwealth bank account from Microsoft. As far as I know I have not given permission for any direct debit to accur.Can you please advice why this was debitted from my account ?

    Debit card purchases have always worked on windowsphone store. I have used HDFC and ICICI bank debit cards to make purchases. Get an account in banks like the one I have mentioned and you are good to go.

    If you are unwilling to change your bank, here is an alternative. Speak to your current bank and ask them to enable VERIFIED BY VISA transactions on your debit card. This is what allows a debit card to behave like a credit card I just had a 9 debit taken from my bank account :)

    I Have a HDFC bank debit card, i purchased a game couple of months ago. But from today I'm not able to do any purchases.

    Then the solution is clear at this point. Change bank account/debit card I just had a 9 debit taken from my bank account :)
