Windows 10: I just installed the new windows update and now my audio is not working

I just installed the new Windows update 2024-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5035853 but now I can't hear anything at all. I tried different headsets and it definitely is not the problem. I even tried updating my audio drivers and they say it is up to date. I check the sound settings and it says it is working fine but I literally cannot hear a single thing. I even restarted my PC many times and nothing.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

I need a new audio driver that works with Windows 10 that is not Realtek.

My computer just underwent the recent Windows update and with it the updated Realtek audio driver. I don't know if I had been using a Realtek driver before that point, I never had a reason to pay attention to it. My audio input through any mic I connect
since the update is horrible and I need a new driver that is not Realtek, as I have updated it again, un and reinstalled it and followed all the steps listed in other similar questions such as:

This has not worked for me; I need an option that is either a guaranteed fix which I don't think is available, or a new compatible driver.
