Windows 10: I just updated my Asus Motherboard BIOS, and upon completion, Windows 11 is now asking me...

I used a copy of my old Windows 8 PRO key which i have been using for years now, and until now has never posed any problems. I own the physical copy and did not just purchase some random key anywhere. I tried inputting the Windows 8 PRO product key and Windows 11 no longer sees it as a valid key even if it did a few years back.Any ideas how I can prove the legitimacy of my Windows key?

Asus motherboard Update Bios

Hi.

Recently I wanted to update my ( Asus b250m-c ) motherboard bios and I figured my bios is "Aptio setup utility". It looks pretty old and doesn't have tools for updating bios ( EZflash ) and it seems like even some older motherboards have modern bios ( more graphical bios ). So is there a way to update bios from Aptio setup utility?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
