Windows 10: i just upgraded 2 days ago to windows 11. sometimes i get randomly a complete black screen....

i just upgraded to windows 11. i bought windows 11 usb because i have very slow internet connection, the windows upgrade software i can upgrade for free. i have no choice but to buy it because i cannot download it. my screen goes completely black and i have to do a forced restart. i guess i wasted my money and may have to go back to windows 10. i paid 150 and this is a serious problem. windows 10 never crashed.

Windows 10: Screen Randomly Goes Black Every Day

4 days ago upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home. Ever since that upgrade, I have random times every day where the screen randomly goes black while I'm using it. Goes black for around 10 seconds, then screen reappears. Nothing wrong with cables. Don't
have to restart. Just moving the mouse for 10 seconds gets screen to reappear. Can directly attribute this to Windows 10 because it didn't occur before the upgrade. What's wrong?

HARDWARE:

CPU: Intel Core i7-7820X 16 core

Motherboard: ASUS TUF X299 MARK 2

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

 

Windows 10 WAS working 2 days, now black screen with dots

Hi, a couple of days ago I upgraded my sister's PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It was stable and booting fine, if a little more slowly as the hardware is a little long in the tooth. Yesterday, though, when she started it up it got as far as a black screen with white rotating dots, and it just stays on that screen despite me waiting for hours.

I read up on these forums and elsewhere that the "Anniversary Update" might be the culprit, and that it might be a graphics driver issue. The advice was to start the PC in safe mode using a Windows 10 media install disk, which I have tried, however I'm now faced with this message:





I've tried both the "yes" and "no" options. "Yes" just reboots and goes back to the infinitely rotating white dots on the black screen, and "No" tries to start a fresh install.

So is there any other way around this now, aside from doing a completely fresh install? There appears to be no way to repair the installation, unless someone can possibly suggest any alternatives?

Any help will of course be hugely appreciated!

 

Black screen with cursor on screen after few days from upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7.

Original Title: Issue with black screen with cursor after win7 upgraded to win10

Post upgrade from win7 to win10 it worked fine for few days but recently I am facing a problem with black screen appearing after entering the password, only cursor is visible. I did below steps suggested on Internet

1. hit ctrl+Alt+del

2. start a new task from task manager

3. Hit explorer.exe

However this fails saying a feature for windows 10 need to be installed call NTVDM. It tries to install and fails with error . Can somebody suggest me a solution to this?
